The domino effect
This is a David and Goliath scenario using pieces of wood. The small piece can bring down the big one. All it needs is to get them in the right order.
Despite the different sizes of the blocks, the smallest one can cause the largest to fall if you set them in the right order. The smallest one knocks over the next smallest one, etc. This is known as the “domino effect”. When one wooden block falls, potential energy is converted to kinetic energy, which is transferred to the next larger block onto which the smaller block falls. The sizes and distances between the blocks can be adjusted such that the energy is just enough.
