Wind tree

Our Wind tree is the first of its kind in the Nordic countries! A wind tree works just like a wind turbine but looks like a tree.

Why do we have a wind tree?

• Catches winds from 2 m/s.
• Generates electricity +- 300 days per year.
• Doesn’t shut down at high wind speed.

What can the tree give us?

• Electricity to our facilities.
• Each generator has the capacity to produce 300 W. There are 30 generators which means the windtree can produce 9 kW at its highest capacity.
• This equals the amount of electricity used by an average household each year.
• It saves 864 kg of coal or 615 liters of petrol.
