Soap Bubble Curtain

When water has been captured by soap, it can be stretched. This makes it possible to blow soap bubbles and make long webs. Create a soap bubble curtain by pulling the rope!

A film can be formed since the washing up liquid in the mixture decreases the surface tension of the water. If the ropes are made wet, it is easier to get the curtain to reach higher. The lack of water is one of the reasons that the film eventually breaks. If you wet your hand, you can even push it through the film without it breaking!

Want to make your own soap bubbles? Here’s our recipe:

  • 8 dl water
  • 2 dl Yes washing-up liquid
  • 45 ml glycerol
