Tom Tits Experiment is a great family destination with exciting science experiments on four floors. We offer cool science and technology for children and adults of all ages to explore.
Monday-Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Outdoors: The park section of our science center is open to visitors from May to September.

Food and drinks
Our restaurant can offer a buffet menu with a wide variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes and also a picnic menu.

In our Café you will find delicious soups, salads & sandwiches, as well as organic ice-cream, biscuits, smoothies, ice tea etc.
Our indoor picnic area "Pelarsalen" ("hall of columns") is inspired by medieval castle dining halls and seats some 100 guests. Please note that seating cannot be booked in advance. Microwave and dish washing available. During the months of May to September you can also enjoy your picnic meal outside in our park.
Children and safety
Our outdoor area is not designed as a certified playground for children. There are several water ponds in the park - please hold young children by the hand. Children often run around both indoors and outdoors and have fun. Please do not leave your children unattended anywhere in the science center. Watch out for the stairs and other places where it's easy for them to stumble.
How much time to visit?
To try out all the experiments you need to spend at least half a day in our science center. We have four floors full of experiments and also outside attractions in our park. The outdoor garden section is open to visitors during the months of May to September.
What age groups is Tom Tits Experiment designed for?
Our science experiments are designed for children of all ages, from 2 to 102! Some experiments have primarily been designed with young children in mind - and are perfectly adapted to their size!
Are strollers allowed?
Yes, strollers are welcome on the premises. There are lifts to all floors in the main building and also several ramps outside. You will also find designated stroller parking areas on floors 1 and 3.
How about wheelchair access?
Yes, most experiments are accessible to wheelchair users. There are lifts to all floors in the main building and also several ramps outside. Please note that admission is free for licensed personal assistants accompanying a physically disabled individual.
Is Tom Tits Experiment suitable for preschool children?
Yes, several of the experiments are designed with young children in mind, for them to investigate and discover. We recommend that group visits are booked in advance. Special rates are available for school group visits.
How about visiting just the store?
Yes, you may visit just the store. Admission is then free but please inquire at the reception desk. The store usually opens two hours later than the rest of the center.
How about visiting just the restaurant?
Yes, lunch is served every day of the week and admission is free for lunch guests. Please inquire at the reception desk.
Why is the center named "Tom Tits Experiment"?
“Tom Tit” was the pen-name of 19th Century French author Arthur Good who wrote articles for the French magazine L’Illustration, on how to perform simple science experiments with the aid of everyday objects.
Do you have lockers for personal items?
Yes, there are lockers on the first floor for your convenience. Locker charge is 5 SEK.

We have four floors and a park full of science experiments for visitors of all ages, all constructed of everyday objects and materials. Investigate and explore the human body and our senses and learn about physics, mathematics, biology, geography and technology and much more.
Just leave your preconceived notions of “right” and “wrong” at the door, keep your mind open and find out about the science of everyday things. An outdoor park with more exciting experiments is open to visitors from May and September.
For your convenience the science park also includes a restaurant, a café with organic foods, and picnic areas indoors .
Tom Tits Experiment is the perfect destination for all in the family. We are only some 30 minutes by car from Stockholm, or by bus or commuter train from Stockholm Central Station.
