Robocoaster

The Robocoaster is the first of its type Sweden. This is an industrial robot in which the gripper has been exchanged for a two-seater sofa. The robot is the third largest in the world and can handle loads weighing up to 500 kg.

In order to remove the risk that the robot for some reason fails to follow its programmed motion, it is equipped with what is known as a "hardware lock". This means that physical impediments in the form of metal rods block the robot, making it impossible for it to move its arm below its own waist.

Robocoaster reaches nearly 6 metres into the air, measured from the pedestal. The pedestal is 5 metres high. In total, the highest that you come in Robocoaster is 11 metres above the ground. The robot has six axles, and can twist and turn the passengers in several directions at the same time.

Robocoaster has been programmed with five different rides. This type of robot is also used as a simulator and in research into space flight.

Minimum height: 120 cm for levels 1 & 2.
Minimum height: 140 cm for levels 3, 4 & 5.
