Craniums

These models are the skulls of our ancestors. They are from archaeological finds from prehistoric people, those who came before us.

Humans and everything else on earth have developed over the millennia thanks to evolution. You could say that evolution follows two different principles:

1. Individuals vary. There are variations within the same species. For example, humans have different hair and skin colour.
2. Not all individuals born can survive and/or reproduce. The best-adapted individuals pass on their genetic characteristics to the next generation.

This has created an enormous amount of species variation on earth.
