Breasts

When a woman becomes pregnant, her breasts start to prepare for breast feeding. The mammary glands increase in size, the area around the nipple called the areola starts to get darker, the milk ducts grow and veins may be more apparent. The breasts grow and sometimes they might feel sore.

Once the baby is born, the breasts change again to be able to start feeding the baby, but the supply of breast milk is not related to the size of the woman's breasts.
