Our brains seek out patterns that look like faces. The squares in the image appear as eyes and mouth since the green-white pattern has been switched for patterns in other colours.

The mouth has a region with a pink and green squared pattern, without any white in it. When viewed from a distance, the mouth appears grey-brown, and its shape reminds us of a hotdog.
