Yellow Light

White light contains all wavelengths, and this means that we can see all colours in the light from a normal lamp. A colour is light with a specific wavelength. Yellow has a wavelength of 589 nanometres. This is why you can only see certain colours when the yellow light is illuminated. If you switch on the white light, you will see more figures painted on the walls, and many more colours.
