The secret box

A box with holes on one side where you place your hands, and a plexiglass sheet on the other side. There is an object inside the box that you can feel with your hands. The person on the side facing the plexiglass can see the object and have the “answer”.

We want to show you how you can recognise an object without seeing it, simply by using your sense of touch. This way you can explore the senses that cooperate when you use your sense of touch. The sense of touch – the tactile sense – is a feeling that cooperates with the sense of your own motion – the proprioception system – that helps you orientate your movements in different directions in relation to your body and your surroundings – the vestibular system.
