Soap Bubble Table

Soap bubbles are magical. They are shiny, soft and contain all the colours of the rainbow. If you like soap bubbles as much as we do, this is the place to be!

Cleaning agents contain tensides that reduce the surface tension of water and in this way make it possible for the water to penetrate into dirt and stains. When the surface tension of water has been reduced, foam and bubbles can form.

A soap bubble consists of a thin film of water surrounded by washing up liquid. The film is transparent and lets most of the light that falls onto it pass through, but some is reflected in the outer and inner surfaces of the film. The light is in this way dispersed into its different wavelengths and all the colours of the rainbow appear.

Want to make your own soap bubbles? Here’s our recipe:

  • 8 dl water
  • 2 dl Yes washing-up liquid
